		Goddess Freya Wielding a Spear It can sometimes be difficult to resolve the disparate natures of the Goddess Freya. She is a fierce warrior and leads the Valkyries, and yet is also the Goddess of Love and Beauty. A lusty Goddess of Fertility, the Lady is not a being to be trifled with.

		The Goddess Posing The most common portrayal of the Goddess Freya is as a surpassingly lovely blonde woman who is either nude or clad in jewelry. Earlier artwork portrays the Lady as 'full-bodied', that is, a large, well-fed woman of generous proportions, that being the standard of beauty at the time. This web site tends to artwork showing the Lady Freya as an impossibly slender, athletic young lady with large breasts, reflecting current trends. In truth, the Lady is the Goddess of Beauty - desirable and perfect in her form and personality. If you have great good fortune, you'll see her for yourself.
		Goddess of War Here's an image of the Goddess Freya riding to war in her cat-drawn chariot. She's wielding a magical flaming sword here, and is clearly a Goddess to be feared in battle. Obviously, she's not much for pinchy, itchy armor...
