Lady Freya and companion
Cats hold a special place in Goddess Freya's heart. Sacred to her, the independent, furry warriors are often her companions and friends. Two large cats even pull her chariot. Warm thanks to Lisa Iris for this special painting. Check out Lisa's web site for more of her art! |

Freyja, Goddess of War
Here we have the Goddess Freyja sweeping down onto a battlefield, riding in her chariot drawn by cats. The Lady may be selecting fallen warriors for Valhalla, or perhaps felling a collection of warriors, reaping lives with her spear. |

Winter Goddess Freyja
Lady Freyja is a Goddess of all seasons. Equally comfortable celebrating the joyous creation of Spring, the warmth of Summer and the bountiful plenty of Autumn, the Lady Freyja also thrives in the icy desolation of Winter. Her celestial warmth radiates of all. |

Greeted by Lady Freyja
The Goddess Freyja has charge of the Valkyries, the Choosers of the Slain. Half of the noble dead go to Odin in Valhalla, the rest to Freyja in Folkvang. There can be no happier sight than to be greeted at the gate of Folkvang by the wondrous Lady Freyja! Artwork © - Jonathon Earl Bowser - www.JonathonArt.com |

Lady Freya of Butterflies
The Goddess has as special minions the butterflies of the field. These colorful, lovely creatures are precious to the Lady, as are the flowers and rainbows and all other beautiful beings and objects. Goddess Freya is the patroness of Beauty, after all. |

Goddess of Fairies
As one of the Vanir, the Goddess Freya is a champion of the light elves and the fairies. She is both protector and friend to the good beings. On occasion the beautiful Freya can be found dancing with them under the moonlight in particularly lovely groves, filled with flowers. |
