Avengers - Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Avengers – Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is a new animated television series based on Marvel comics. It is a mixture of the old and the new – set in the present day but telling the origin of the Avengers team. One of the principals of the current team is the Mighty Thor, son of Odin. Because Thor is part of the team, his wicked stepbrother Loki isn’t far behind, causing mischief as always. Those two together bring in the entire Norse pantheon as envisioned by Marvel Comics. This brings us to the Enchantress, featured in the fourth episode of the series thus far. She is naturally a blonde vision of loveliness in her traditional comic book costume – a bustier, short skirt, leggings, boots, and a headpiece, all in shades of green. As is typical both of comic book females and the Enchantress herself, she is lovely and incredibly sexy. This is the traditional Marvel Enchantress. She is a villainess – somewhat wicked and mischievousness. However, Amora the Enchantress shows her discomfort when Loki taunts her about deceiving Thor.
This version of the Enchantress has vast magical powers. In the space of a few minutes, we see Amora perform the following magical actions:
Interestingly enough, the Enchantress’s magic is green, a life color. Loki’s magic is purple and black and rendered to look quite poisonous. Amora’s magic is light and airy, like a mist filled with glowing stars. Both her appearance and her magic are presented to split the difference between good and evil. Amora is definitely working with Loki, and so is wicked, but she’s also shown to have feelings for Thor and possible for others.
The implication we get from the first several episodes is that both Thor and Loki will play a major role in this Avengers series. Hopefully, that means we’ll be seeing a great deal more of the Enchantress – perhaps in a featured role. We can only hope. |
